Religions, Faiths, and Movements of the World
TOP TOP

Across the World are beliefs and values, Gods, Goddesses and Deities that we may not even know. There are faiths that may be just as fundamental for those who practice them as they are superficial for those who do not. Each may claim to be the singular truth.

Above all, do not condemn what you do not understand.

"All men dream, but unequally.
Those that dream at night in the dusty recesses of their minds awake the next day to find that their dreams were just vanity.
But those who dream during the day with their eyes wide open are dangerous men, they act out their dreams to make them reality"

- T.E. Lawrence

There is a tide ...
in the affairs of men
which, taken at the flood,
leads on to fortune;
omitted, all the voyage of their life
is bound in shallows ...

On such a full sea are we now afloat,
and we must take the current
when it serves
or lose our ventures.

"Take a Leap"

Leapers do need landing pads
for unsoft lands.
Riskers jump
while others stand
and watch,
taking notes
making jokes,
while us leaping folks is getting bruises
by the twos's.
Reaching, climbing
all the time
is far better in my mind,
even with the scrapes and bumps,
than sitting watching,
like some lumps.

THE WISDOM OF LOVE

1. You are who you are--don't try and be anyone else. It takes too much energy.
When you accept yourself you open the door to a glorious future.

2. Love is not a contest. You give and receive love unconditionally.
Sometimes you give more than you receive, sometimes it's the other way around.
We learn that the maturity of true love is in it's unselfish flow.
The exchange that nourishes our existence.

3. Love can become complacent and gray,
giving the feeling that something is missing.
Fight this dullness with surprise, new energy,
something different and unexpected.

4. To be in love means you allow your partner to grow in their own way.
Even if it seems they are growing away from you.
It is a falsity to think that two lovers should grow into one identity.
They both must be able to bring new energy to the relationship.
Energy that is found in their own personal growth.

5. Allow yourself to be open and vulnerable.
When you are overly guarded, you miss the joys of intimacy.
The pain that sometimes strikes from unfulfilled love will always heal.
Being vulnerable is the basis of finding love.

6. Don't go looking for love--give love.
You will not find love if you ask for it.
You will find love if you give it.

NOTES ON DESIRE

1. Why is it that the person across the room is more desirable than the person you are with?
Some women give off an indifferent vibe and have men constantly dancing around them--why is this?
How can she be so "desirable" when she will have nothing to do with them?
A desirable person has a quiet confidence--an openness.

2. What's import about appearance is a manner, their style or essence,
not being a long legged bombshell or a broad shouldered hunk.
The manner can be anything, a goofiness, an honesty,
a straight forwardness, a gleam in the eye.

3. Remember laughter--a person who can laugh is attractive to everyone.

4. You're drawn to a person who has something original to say--
in line with this, a friendly tease is important.
It shows a playfulness--and can peak a curiosity in others.

5. Revealing is okay. If you are a little nervous, never worry about showing it.
It makes you human, and it allows others to show their humanity too.

6. We're attracted to people who show confidence in themselves.
Not a conceit, but an openness.
It makes you feel stronger and more sure of yourself when you talk to them.

7. Desire fades. It becomes friendship or it disappears totally.
But it can be sparked back to life with one look, a grin, or a bit of laughter.

I am left wondering if it is the desire that has faded.....or if true love ever existed.
Whichever it is/was, darling....be happy in your life.....

I believe it is true ... for it does not fade,
nor does it let the pressures from those who do not know change it's meaning,
at the core at least, or in the heart of hearts.
Yes, love, you be happy in your life, too.
I pray for that each day.
