“And those men who are inventors and interpreters between Nature and man, as compared with boasters and declaimers of the works of others, must be regarded and not otherwise esteemed than as the object in front of a mirror, when compared with it’s image seen in the mirror. For the first is something in itself, and the other nothingness – Folks little indebted to Nature, since it is only by chance that they wear the human form and without it I might class them with the herd of beasts.”
– Leonardo DaVinci

Leonardo DaVinci was both ahead of his time and the epitome of his time. DaVinci had visions of machines, such as airplanes and submarines, centuries before their invention. He had an enormous talent, but more importantly, he had an insatiable thirst for exploration and discovery. His love for beauty and his ingenious spirit led him to pursue studies in a variety of subjects, such as architecture, Anatomy design, botany, painting, sculpture, geology and music. The most important lesson DaVinci's life has taught us is that art and engineering share the same roots of passion and creativity.
