The infirmary in DaVinci's castle is equipped with reference materials for the kinds of typical home care medicine that might be required by the familiars and guests who live here. Since we are adventurers, explorers and woodsmen, there are also important references to wilderness survival medicine and survival skills, as well as means of setting bones, applying tourniquets and stitching deep cuts and gashes in the field. Such injuries have occurred here in DaVinci's World as a result of pushing the limits of the human body by scaling mountains, careening down steep canyons, extreme sports, reckless swordplay and otherwise placing oneself in harms way. As an example, the fellow being treated in the photo suffered 3rd degree burns over his upper body, and a crushed wrist, when attempting to borrow a few meager gold coins from Sparky's hoard.
