  • Tools
    1. Some sort of cutting device (table saw, Skil saw, radial arm saw, band saw, crosscut saw, etc.) The more automated the better.
    2. Drill motor with appropriate twist bit for making holes for carriage bolts.
    3. Router and bit for knocking off edges and corners (optional).
    4. #8 screw setter (optional, but recommended).
    5. Some way to make dadoes (dado cutter, etc.) (optional if not using 4x4s).
    6. Sander for finishing (optional).
  • Lumber
    1. 4 eight foot 4x4s.
    2. 5 eight foot 2x4s.
    3. At least 1/2 sheet 3/4" plywood (the 14"x14" sacrificial burner platforms do not have to be one piece).
  • Hardware
    1. A box of 50 or so #8x1.5" woodscrews.
    2. 26 3.5" carriage bolts each with nut and two washers.
    3. Casters (optional, but not really).
  • Misc
    1. Eye protection.
    2. Sandpaper for finishing (optional).
    3. Polyurethane and brush for finishing (optional, but recommended (it's gonna get wet)).
